Kristin Messinger is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been providing care in a family practice setting since 2010. Originally from Decatur, IL she has completed, earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL in 2003.
After graduating she worked in emergency and trauma departments in several notable hospitals across the country including Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO and UCSF in San Francisco, CA. In 2009, Kristin graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA with her Master’s in Science of Nursing and was subsequently certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2010 as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. After completing her certification, Kristin began providing care in a family practice.
While Kristin enjoys all aspects of treating the family she is especially passionate about preventative care. She believes that the best way to treat disease is to prevent it before it begins. Kristin in very personable and approachable. She loves talking with her patients to get to know them for their uniqueness she can establish a relationship with them. Working as a partner with her patients is key to success in formulation a plan that treats both the mind and the body.
Kristin and her husband, Jeremy have been married since 2004. They both share a passion in healthcare. They have three children and two dogs. Kristin enjoys supporting her kids as they participate in various sports throughout the year. Kristin and Jeremy also enjoy participating in various races in their remaining free time.
